There are several primary resources for finding candidates. ‘Writer’s Market’ and Jeff Herman’s ‘Guide to Book Publishers, Editors and Literary Agents’ come out every year.
It’s important that you do your research and send query letters only to those who are accepting works in your genre. These reference books and websites will tell you their fields of interest, as well as advise you where to find their instructions on submitting.
